About the MAA

The Arrive alive program is the youth road safety program of the Motor Accidents Authority of NSW. We are the NSW Government Department that looks after the Compulsory Third Party (CTP) Insurance Scheme (known as greenslips).

A green slip is an insurance policy, which provides cover for compulsory third-party personal injury insurance. CTP insurance provides compensation for other people injured in an accident when you or the person driving your vehicle is the driver at fault.

The MAA is concerned about the over representation of 17 to 25 year olds in crashes, and with the cost to the CTP Scheme of young driver crashes. Arrive alive includes a wide range of road safety activities funded or supported by the MAA.
