The Central Coast Mariners & Arrive alive
The Central Coast Mariners were the first official football team from the Central Coast to play in a national competition.
The Mariners were formed in 2004 for the foundation of the A-League in 2005/06.
The Central Coast Mariners have been part of the Arrive alive program since their first season in the A-League conducting the 'What makes a good driver?' program for students in Years 10 & 11 in high schools throughout the Central Coast.
The aim of the program is to ask young drivers to think twice before taking risks on the road and the Mariners want young drivers to understand the importance of practice in gaining driving experience as a learner driver as being crucial to staying safer on their Provisional licence and achieving their goals in life.
The players also take time to help the students to improve their driving and football
skills after the presentation.
